Training and Coming Home...

Hey, SO training was intense this week. I Unfortunately did not pass and therefore am unable to go to teach at my school. I had 2 options.... one stay in Korea and try to find a new jopb or to leave and come back to the States. All of this is on my own dime though so... From the reference you can guess which one I chose. I will no longer be blogging either since I will be back in the States as of this Tuesday.
I tried my best but it wasn't good enough. I suppose it wasn't meant to be. So now I will be back in the States and looking for a job there. Maybe I'll go back to school for my Master's or something. I dunno. I have a lot on my mind right now and just don't know what I am thinking or doing right now. I hope everything works out in the near future. Putting my trust in the best thing I can... God!!!

Perhaps , this is his way of saying it was too soon or something. At least, in the StatesI'll be able to eat with the utensils.

Anyways, I lok forward to seeing you all back in the States. Although my stay in Korea was short, I did have a great time.

Starbucks...

So... here with every meal they eat kimchi. I am horrible with chopsticks but I am slowly learning that they are one of the few utensils they use to eat with here.
Drinking is huge here. Training is going well. We begin looking more in depth at the materials on Monday.
Oh, did I mention that its a 13 hour time difference. Jet lag is no fun. Every day they make us check our temperatures twice a day to make sure we have no fever. Apparently, recently within the past month or so a teacher from NY came and had H1N1. So now when we are in training we have to wear these really obnoxious masks over our faces. We all look like nurses or construction workers with the masks over our faces to cover our noses and mouths.
To take extra precautions we all got split up into different hotels as well. It turns out in the past they all stayed in one hotel.
Yesterday,Friday was a chill day of adventuring around our hotels. We
Over there they literally have at least 2 coffee shops per block. The most common food here is of course Korean but they also enjoy Chinese style restaurants. Earlier today on Saturday we began training and then went to Gangnam, one subway stop over from where we were staying in Seoul. The subway here works like the Metro system back in D.C., you can buy a card called a T-Money pass and put money on it and swipe it as you enter the stop. Then you get on the subway... its almost exactly like the metro.

Soon it will be Sunday so I think I am going to bed soon and then hanging around the hotel perhaps to review a few materials.

I am having a blast but miss my MD friends and family dearly.
Keep comiing back to read more as more is to come. eventually I will post pictures here. Oh and my watch died today so I have to get a new one. I love shopping here already, I found shoes that fit!!!!

HOTEL....

So... its Monday the 17th and I leave tomorrow. I'll be getting ready to leave my house in just about 24 hours to head to Dulles Airport.
The date came quickly up on me but... I am very excited now and a bit nervous too...
I found out that my Hotel is a four star hotel in Seoul South Korea for training and is called Provista.
Along with this I found out I will have two boys also at the hotel, so only three of us are staying at this particular hotel. Our medical exams over there will take place on Thursday, a day after we arrive.

The next time I write on this blog I will be in Korea... The flight is a fourteen hour flight and mine is luckily, a direct flight!!! :)

Talking to you all from Korea... Look me up on Skype. Enjoy the blog and I will see you all in a year!!!!

So, I went down to the consulate today August 11,2009 and had my interview for the Visa... picking that up on Friday with luck and no issues with criminal issues... I am set to leave in just one week from today.

Still a lot to do with packing and all the fun details but it seems to all be working out alright.
